Alix Scarborough, CNU-A, holds a bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning from Texas State University-San Marcos. Her passion is creating better built environments that promote livability, sustainability, and responsiveness to the community's vision. Her public advocacy work at Black + Vernooy Architecture and Urban Design challenges her daily to find the balance between citizen opinion and technical planning expertise. Alix hopes to contribute to the planning profession with her enthusiasm, excellent communication, GIS skills, event coordination experience, and attention to detail. Today's urban areas face great challenges, and Alix looks forward to bringing national and international solutions to any city in which she practices.
